What's the difference between perfume you get from a drugstore vs. one you get from a nice department store?

Let's say its the exact same brand of perfume - Chanel No. 5 or whatever example you want to use. The Chanel No. 5 at the drug store is way cheaper than it would be at say a department store at the mall. Why? Is there an ingredient difference? Do the drugstore brands have more alcohol in it?What's the difference between perfume you get from a drugstore vs. one you get from a nice department store?
the real stuff is parfum or perfume..meaning it is highly concentrated, the cheaper versions like eau(french for water) de parfum, or cologne are watered down same scent less potent...the good stuff lasts a long time a nd the cheap stuff disappears sooner, that's why.......blessingsWhat's the difference between perfume you get from a drugstore vs. one you get from a nice department store?
The difference is the 15$ you save. Thats it. In fact if you want to save even more, there are knock perfumes. The companies that make them hire chemists to break down the popular scents and find out whats in it... then they make it 99.9% the same stick a no name label on it and you get the same thing for about half price. I wouldnt buy without smelling first though as I have heard some arent good. But I have also smelled some that you would not be able to tell a difference and they last too.
Both perfumes are the same, if they came out of Chanel house. BUT the drugstore bottle may be older so check expiration date. Time does affect perfumes as they oxidize.
they want you to think the ones in the department store are better for you when realli they are all the same. its a rip off.
Price Mainly.
No they are exactly the same!
no they arnt different

idk why it is cheaper its just weird
